On June 7th, Quang Ngai PPC’s Standing Vice Chairman Dang Van Minh has recently held the meeting about the water supply project for HoaPhat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex.
According to Hoa Phat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex, the project has a capacity of 100,000 m3 / day and night. It is divided into two phrase: 50,000 m3 / day in the first phase and 50,000 m3 / day in the second phase. Main water supplied for HoaPhat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex will come from Tra Bong river, The other sources come from Ca Ninh Lake and Binh Dong Lake.The project has a total investment capital of over 265 billion VND.
Based on meeting’s opinions, Standing Vice Chairman Dang Van Minh agreed for the company to use water from the source of Tra Bong River and the proposed plan of the investor. He also said that It’s urgent for HoaPhat Dung Quat Integrated Steel Complex to implement the project. At the same time, The Vice Chairman gave specific comments on the Company’s recommendations; asked the company to complete the project soon, and report to the Dung Quat Economic Zone and QuangNgai Industrial Parks Authority in order to submit to the provincial People’s Committee for investment policy before June 15.
In addition, Mr. Minh assigned Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks Authority to chair and coordinate with Binh Son District authorities to promptly prepare compensation and ground clearance plans for the projects.
Reportedly, It’s estimated that the project, once accomplished, will bring revenue of about $ 2 billion per year and create jobs for 8,000 workers. It also will make a significant contribution to the increase in industrial output and services, contributing to the budget of VND4,000 billion each year after full capacity.
