In the afternoon of January 23rd, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tang Binh worked with General Electric (GE) about the Dung Quat GE Plant and their development orientation in Dung Quat Economic Zone.

GE Power Systems Limited is a General Electric Group’s subsidiary – a leading US corporation in fields of energy and aerospace industry. By the end of 2016, GE Group acquired Doosan Vina Heat Recovery Plant and completed the transfer procedure.
The factory has an area of nearly 16ha in Binh Thuan commune, Binh Son district, with an investment of 35 million US dollars.
The factory’s products include equipment for gas turbines and boiler.
According to the GE Group, after one year of Doosan Vina Plant’s acquisition, GE’s Dung Quat Plant has grown considerably. At the meeting, GE Dung Quat factory’s leaders hoped that If they have any questions about tax and customs policies , they will settled soon by the provincial functional departments.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tang said that Quang Ngai is honored to receive a large US multinational corporation to invest in a factory in Dung Quat and is also the first US company to invest here.
