A big push from Hoa Phat

Besides the leading projects confirming the role of driving force such as Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Doosan Vina Heavy Industry or VSIP Quang Ngai, etc, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Complex is also creating a great contribution to the breakthrough development of Dung Quat EZ and Quang Ngai IPs.

An exciting site

Considered as the largest scale project ever, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Complex invested by Hoa Phat Group, their investment progress is accelerated. At the construction site, domestic and foreign contractors mobilized thousands of machines, vehicles and manpower to construct continously, creating a great construction site. At the rush hours, the number of workers, engineers of Hoa Phat and contractors on the site is at the peak of 13,000 people.

Divided into two phases, the complex project has the total investment capital of VND60,000 billion, with a capacity of 4 million tonnes per year. Their main products are construction steel, high quality steel and hot rolled coil.

In addition, Hoa Phat is building a specialized deep-water seaport system that will allow ships of 150,000-200,000 tons to be docked, making it easier for Hoa Phat to transport its inputs and outputs to the domestic and foreign markets.

On the work

In order to enhance the close and modern production value chain of the complex, Hoa Phat Group has decided to invest in the product line. The first is the first high-pressure steel production plant in Vietnam. This plant will be located next to Hoa Phat Dung Quat. It is expected that the  plant with the total investment capital of over VND 1,000 billion will be deployed right in 2018 and officially come inti operation in late 2019.
